ID Electrical Services Awarded NICEIC Accreditation

ID Electrical Services, the specialist electrical division of ID Fire & Security has successfully been awarded as an approved contractor by the NICEIC to undertake electrical installation work in accordance with the requirements of BS 7671.

The NICEIC registration demonstrates to customers ID Electrical Services's skills and professionalism in regards to electrical installation works whilst giving them a peace of mind that our products and services are benchmarked against the best in the industry.

To be awarded the accreditation, ID Electrical Services was assessed on its quality of contracted work, its premises, documentation, equipment, and the competence of key supervisory staff. The company will be re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards.

ID Fire & Security achieves Notifier Gold Partner certification in major new fire safety initiative

ID Fire & Security has been confirmed as a Notifier Gold Partner, in an important initiative designed to promote the very highest standards of fire safety.

IDFS has been a Notifier Engineered Systems Distributor (ESD) partner since 2002. “In achieving Gold Partner certification, we are now building on this successful relationship,” confirms Kevin Blyde, Managing Director of the Fire Division of IDFS. “We have become one of a select group of service providers with proven, in-depth engineering capabilities and commercial success in selling and working with Notifier solutions.”

The new certification programme, for Notifier’s top Engineered Systems Distributors (ESDs), recognises partners’ commitment to the Notifier brand through skills in engineering fire systems, training, business performance and sales and marketing activities. Qualification includes an audit by Notifier covering a number of areas, including technical capability, independent accreditation, business management systems, commercial competence and agreed levels of sales and marketing investment and support.

“This important endorsement reinforces customer confidence that, in working with us, they will benefit from the highest levels of technical expertise and service quality in the selection, installation and maintenance of Notifier fire safety solutions,” confirmed Kevin Blyde.

BDS merge with ID Fire & Security

BDS Fire and Security Ltd has successfully merged into its sister company ID Fire & Security Ltd to create one trading company that now trades as ID Fire & Security Ltd.

Effective from 1st July 2011, this development follows the acquisition of BDS Fire and Security Ltd in June 2010 by the ID Support Services Group Ltd.

The newly merged business allows ID Fire & Security to integrate its businesses to provide a platform from which it can offer all services seamlessly to customers across the UK. The company now fully reflects the Fire Detection & Suppression, Electrical, CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Access Control and EAS services that the business provides nationally to its customers.

Existing BDS customers will continue to be serviced by their current contacts at the company, which will continue to operate from its premises in Hackbridge. The newly enlarged company will continue to maintain its accreditations to provide the services listed, such as NACOSS Gold Fire and BAFE accreditations. Previous BDS security customers will be enhanced by being able to provide NACOSS Gold accredited security services through the new ID Fire & Security company.

Current contracts between BDS and its customers will be serviced by the team from Hackbridge, with the remaining management continuing to operate as it did previously. Kevin Blyde Jnr will become the managing director of the fire division of the newly enlarged business and Hackbridge will be the centre of excellence for the Fire and Electrical services within ID Fire & Security.

ID Fire & Security Partners with Crosspoint

ID Fire & Security Ltd has been awarded approved supplier status for Crosspoint EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) Tagging systems throughout the UK, further enhancing its status as one of the UK's leading loss prevention service providers in the retail industry.

Crosspoint, based in the Netherlands, is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of RF and AM tagging systems. Providing gates, consumables, detachers, people counting and on-line monitoring and remote setting through networked EAS systems, Crosspoint can seen on every high street in every city throughout Europe.

IDFS currently installs Crosspoint systems throughout the Wilkinson, PC World and Curry's estate, and the approved supplier status allows for the sole distribution and installation of their Nexus systems throughout the UK. This starts the process of a rapid expansion plan for IDFS within the UK retail market for EAS systems.
